An internationally acclaimed food fight tournament where contenders from all around the world would travel to, just for a chance to claim the ever so popular title of "Food Fling Champion".

Established in XXXX, the tournament was originally created as a publicity stunt to help raise awareness about food wastage by the brilliant entrepreneur, Mr Critic as part of his yearly travelling food festival. One thing lead to another and the tournament's popularity exploded worldwide.

Compete as a tag team duo and fling your way to fame and glory!

Japanese Dishes

Mukozuke

A plate of elegantly served and prepared sashimi, served as part of a Kaiseki’s main course. Also known as Otsukuri at times, this platter is prepared using elaborate techniques in order to make the dish maximize the fish or seafood’s flavour as well as make it look stunning. The types of seafood used vary from the location as well as the season

Hassun

Part of a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner called Kaiseki. It is served as part of the main course that consists of seasonal meats and vegetables cooked simply in order to let the ingredient’s flavour shine and plated up in a very extravagant manner as a feast for the diner’s eyes

China Dishes

Bird's nest soup

A dish made with an edible bird’s nest from specific types of Swiftlet birds that uses its saliva to make their nest. It is sometimes known as the “Caviar of the East”. The dish is said to be very nutritional, able to help maintain youth and a strong body and was typically consumed only by imperial nobility back in the Ming Dynasty

Buddha jumps over the wall

Also known as Fo Tiao Qiang, this is a very extravagant and luxury herbal soup that is made with premium or high-end ingredients, such as duck kidney that would require a day in advance to prepare. The dish received its name according to historical records, from a meditating monk that jumped over a wall just to eat this dish upon smelling it being cooked

Korean Dishes

Sinseollo/ Royal Hotpot

Offered to guests of the Korean royal family as part of a banquet meal called Myeonsang, back in the Joseon period. This particular dish is normally eaten during birthday celebrations of royal family members or during certain holidays. Typically made with a type of meatballs, fish and other seasonal vegetables, all simmered in a beef broth

Tojangjochi/ Soybean Paste Stew

Served as part of daily court meals to the royal family which was known as Surasang. This dish was made with beef, vegetables and simmered in a soybean paste broth. According to Korean history scholars, this dish has since evolved into Doenjang-Jjigae, a similar type of stew enjoyed by Koreans in their daily lives

Taiwanese Dishes

Foxtail millet pumpkin cake 

Inspired from a dish served in a restaurant in Taiwan called Akame that specializes in serving high-end dishes made using typical ingredients used by the aboriginal people of Taiwan, in hopes of helping preserve and share the culture of the aboriginal people of Taiwan. This particular dish is a dessert made using foxtail millet and pumpkin which are aboriginal staples

Raw Stinky Tofu & century eggs salad

Taken inspiration from a particular restaurant in Taipei named, “Dai’s House of Unique Stink” which is the only place in Taiwan that serves this unique dish. Made using a specific variant of stinky tofu that is specially made by the restaurant, slicing and serving it on a plate with a few halves of century eggs, topped with a soy sauce and scallion based topping

Install instructions

  1. Download the zip file with the "Food Fling" label from the link
  2. Unzip the folder on your computer
  3. Open the file
  4. Select and run the application "Food Fling".

Important Note: Due to certain complications during development, the game will not be able to run properly if your system has a refresh rate higher than 60 Hz and your VSync is forced turned off
